The author's interest in and commitment to the welfare of Malaysia's Orang Asli, indigenous peoples, and their environment began while growing up and befriending Temuan people in Negeri Sembilan. Because the lives of indigenous peoples are inextricably inter linked with the flora and fauna where they live, he designed this photographic essay laying equal emphasis on the human, animal and plant inhabitants of Malaysia and Indonesia's forests.
